Overcoming Pain, Suffering and a Wounded Soul

What People Are Saying

Marilyn Fountain chooses to work with those who feel hopeless and helpless.  Even before saying a word, her light and spirit evoke sympathy and empathy.   Her open heart helps others  to repair a broken heart.  Her book teaches us that even at your weakest point, God’s grace, love and power is ours for the asking. Un-break  Your Heart gives us all permission to ask for and accept His help and remove the pain that humans can sometimes inflict and fill our hearts with the peace and joy that God had always intended.  Once you apply these principles, it serves as the spiritual armor one needs to stay in  the light and leave the darkness behind”.

“Marilyn’s book captures what the Lord said to His disciples in the upper room, “In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33) No one escapes being touched by difficult circumstances. Marilyn tackles the questions all ask when enduring life changing challenges.  The book delves into the innermost thoughts one is plagued with when facing the major trials of life.  Her simple unswerving testimony of dependency on the Lord Jesus Christ and her wonderful use of Scripture are especially appealing.  She is articulate, poignant, and simply practical.   Her many years of service at the Star of  Hope Mission working with countless people who face extreme difficulties in addition to her own tragic journey lend to her credibility.  Her careful work  far outweighs the many attempts that have been made to propagate the simplistic and worn out adage of taking “a spoon full of sugar” to make the distastefulness of tragedy more palatable”.

“Marilyn, first and foremost, is a Christian who is caring and compassionate. She is committed to making a difference in people’s lives.  She is a consummate professional and a pleasure to collaborate with on community projects.  Her book is sure to make a difference in the lives of those who read it”.

“Loss is just a part of life-there’s no getting around it. Until I read Un-Break Your Heart , I tried to avoid topics about the death of a child, a sibling, a parent or the loss of a valued relationship.  Marilyn has helped me to see how God uses the terrible losses in our lives to strengthen us and yes, even bless us. This is a book to keep close by for your own reference and to share with someone who may be crying out for answers during their season of loss”.

  1. Marilyn’s gift of compassion for the hurting is evident in just reading the book. SInce her husband first gave me a copy on Mother’s Day, I have been able to share with many of the clients at the emergency shelter for domestic violence overcomers where I serve as Shelter Mom as well as with students who pass through my office at a local community college. Many blessings to Marilyn as well as those who shared their story in making the book possible.

  2. Un-Break Your Heart is a Divine Treasure to any believer who has suffered from a broken heart. Broken hearts are usually associated with romance so it was difficult for me to recognize and accept this as a valid explanation for my despondency. Upon reading the first page, I found myself standing with God at the place where I’d stopped, stopped living, hoping, dreaming, praying, trusting and knowing. This book gave me permission to have a broken heart! With the help of the Holy Spirit, It has served as an intimate guide, helping me navigate the pain and arrive at the place where healing begins, in the Bosom of Jesus!!!
